Maxine M. (Magill) Baldridge

Maxine M. Baldridge, 89, formerly of 12 Park Village, Shelby died early Wednesday morning, March 1, 2000, at Crestline Nursing Home.

Mrs. Baldridge was born July 12, 1910 in Tuttle, OK, the daughter of Wesley W. and Nellie M. Mohler Magill. She was a 1931 graduate of Columbus School of Art and Design and was a homemaker. She was a former employee of Alice’s Dress Shop in Marysville and the Shelby Animal Clinic. Mrs. Baldridge was a member of First United Methodist Church in Shelby and Marysville Chapter #9 Order of Eastern Star. She was a former member of Marysville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law: Ann & Dr. Wally Wright of Shelby; a son and daughter-in-law: Robert W. & Judy Baldridge of Sun City West, AZ; four grandchildren: Brian Baldridge, Jane and spouse Chip Dietrich, Beth Wright, and Lisa Wright; one great-grandson: David Dietrich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Baldridge in 1961; and a brother, John Magill.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Shelby, where funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Matthews officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery in Marysville. Memorial expressions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Caring For You, or Crestline Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
