Maxine L. (Goard) Alt

Maxine L. Alt, 85, formerly of Ohio 96 East, died Sunday afternoon in the Heritage Care Center after a long illness.

She was born Feb. 1, 1904, in Toledo to Roy and Cora Seymour Goard, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a Bible student.

Surviving are two sons, John of Bucyrus and Richard of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Gary Alt and Kathy Fuller, both of Bucyrus; a great-great-grandson, Ryan Alt of Bucyrus; and three sisters, Helen Russell of Springfield, IL, Madoline Bevelhymer of Bradenton, FL, and Ilene Lake of Sedona, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin G. Alt in 1982.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Steven C. Bond, associate pastor of
the First Lutheran Church in Shelby. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
