Maurice S. “Moe” Reardon
Maurice S. “Moe” Reardon, age 51, of 27 Faye Avenue, died Saturday evening in Mansfield General Hospital after an extended illness. He was born October 27, 1940 in Cambridge, MA.
Mr. Reardon retired as a stationary steam engineer from CPC-Mansfield-Ontario plant after 30 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Shelby Council #1968, Fraternal Order Of Eagles, Sons Of American Legion, O’Brien Post #326, and United Auto Workers Local #549.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Heacock) Reardon, whom he married on April 28, 1972; 5 daughters: Melissa Coangelo of Columbus, Michelle Reardon of Miami, Arizona, Stephanie Reardon of Dayton, Stacy Reardon of Columbus, and Jennifer Reardon at home; 4 sons: John Joseph Reardon, James Andrew Reardon, Jason Allen Reardon, and Jeremy Patrick Reardon all at home; 1 grandson: Jorden Reardon; his mother, Alice (Welch) Buzard of Mansfield; 2 brothers: John Robert Reardon of Hanover, MA, and Neil Dennis Reardon of Mansfield.
He was precede in death by his father John Joseph Reardon.
Calling hours will be today from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church, by his pastor, Father John C. Missler. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Memorial expressions may be made to the Richland Newhope Center and left in care of the funeral home.

Dear Dad,
I just checked to see it your name was here after I had sent a message to Bob Burky after his passing. I miss you so much and I love you. My two sons would love to meet you, but maybe someday, huh? For now, they play with “Jiji”, which is a Japanese nickname for “grandfater”. He loves them very much. We live near him here in Gifu, Japan. My wife, Saori, is from this area and it is really beautiful here. I wish you could come here for a vacation. Julian and Jake really love camping. We have a 1957 VW bus that I restored (with help from Julian), brought to Japan, and we will soon make it into a custom camper. Jake just likes the bright red color. He’s only 4 you know… Hopefully I will find something to teach them about the local country area like the way you taught me and Jimmy to look for arrowheads out in the fields of Butler, Ohio. Anyways, just wanted to say hi in my own little way. I love you, Dad.
