Maude E. (Laser) Lybarger

Maude E. (Laser) Lybarger, age 101, of 2771 Taylortown Road, Shelby, died Friday in Shelby Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Lybarger was born January 1, 1894 in a log cabin southeast of Shiloh, Ohio the daughter of Lemuel and Clara (Palm) Laser, and lived most of her life in Jackson Township.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Church Of Christ in Shelby, Union Grange, The Busy Bee Club, and the Richland County Fair Women’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lemuel and Phyllis Lybarger and Jay and Marjorie Lybarger, all of Shelby; Two daughters and three sons-in-law and their spouses, Clara Bosko of Mansfield, Doris and George Williams of Shelby, Arthur and Wanda Radke of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Carl and Doris Unkel of Wauchula, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver David Lybarger in 1968, and by two daughters, Ada Radke in 1948 and Marguerite Unkel in 1977, 4 brothers, Norman, Jay, Alva, and John Laser and 2 sisters, Flora Russell and Mildred Dick.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. John J. Bradley, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Church of Christ and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby.
