Mary “Ruth” (Bell) Wagner
Mary Ruth Wagner, age 81, died unexpectedly, December 8, 2009 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from complications of pneumonia.
Ruth was born April 1, 1928 in Ashland, Ohio the daughter of the late Chester and Vera (Lutz) Bell. She was a 1946 graduate of Shiloh High School and lived in the Shiloh-Shelby area all her life. Over the years, Ruth enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and jigsaw puzzles. Her family was very proud of her craft talents, especially her ceramics and painting. She was a 4-H advisor and drove school bus for Plymouth Local Schools for over 25 years.
Her husband of 62 years, Robert L. Wagner, survives along with their children: Cindy and Jim Scherger of Tiffin, OH, Barb and Grant Smith of Lewis Center, OH, Mike and Deb Wagner of Mansfield; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother: Charles and Nancy Bell of Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda Wagner and a sister, Betty Morris.
At Ruth’s request, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby Senior Center, 154 North Gamble Street. On-line condolences may be made to
