Mary Magdalene (Giesige) Reber

Mary Magdalene (Giesige) Reber, age 88, formerly of 22 Seltzer Avenue, Shelby, died Sunday morning June 8, 2003 at the Crestwood Care Center.

Mary was born November 3, 1914 in Henry County. Ohio the daughter of the late Urban and Emma (Thome) Giesige. She was a homemaker. Mary was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby, the Altar Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella, AARP, and Golden Agers.

She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Marie Giesige of Shelby and Ann Giesige of Ottowa, OH; Numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Reber in 1973 and by 2 brothers, Robert Giesige and Leonard Giesige.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where the Daughters of Isabella will recite the rosary at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the church.
