Myrna, Jim, and boys…I don’t know if you remember me, I am Gay Cline’s daughter. I babysat for the boys when they were small (and I was pregnant). I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. We lost my Dad in 2002 and I know how hard that loss is. I have such fond memories of you all, and you are in my thoughts and prayers. My husband and I live in Lucas now..up the street from Mrs. Taylor. If you get this way, please stop up and see us. God bless you all!

Condolence:
When I was in fourth grade at Dowd’s elementary school (1961), I broke my leg in a playground accident and was in the Shelby Hospital for 31 days. During that time I received many get well cards from Mrs. Pry with dimes and other coins taped in them. The coins were to purchase items from the cart the gray ladies took from room to room.
Mrs. Pry worked with my Dad (Ralph Shank) at Barker’s during that time.
I don’t know if I ever properly thanked her for her kindness, but I want you to know I never forgot her helping a 9 year old boy during a very tough time in his life.
God’s blessings to you all.
