Mary L. Housholder

Mary L. Housholder, age 73, of 559 Bendle Avenue, Shelby died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness.

Mary was born March 31, 1931 in Willard, Ohio and was a 1949 graduate of Shelby High School. She worked in the office for many years at GAF Corporation in Shelby and for Chuck Salters at Allstate Insurance Company in Shelby. She enjoyed and planted many flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Jake Housholder, whom she wed on November 28, 1969; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Robert Smith of Shelby; an aunt, Helen Kinsell of Shelby and cousins, Donna and Ben Lay of Shelby; nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Dorothy J. (Smith) Champion.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, and also on Wednesday one hour prior to the 10:30 AM funeral at the funeral home. Pastor R. Keith Oditt, interim pastor of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to Shelby Home and Public Health.
