Mary Frances (Lewis) Kegley

Mary Frances Kegley, age 77, of 84 Sherman Avenue, Shelby, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Galion Community Hospital Extended Care Unit after a long illness.

She was born September 24, 1927 in Blaze, Kentucky the daughter of the late James Coleman and Louella (Sergent) Lewis. Mrs. Kegley was a homemaker and a former employee of the Shelby Gum Company. She attended the Stiving Road Freewill Baptist Church in Mansfield and was devoted to reading her Bible. She enjoyed flea marketing and meeting other people. She loved flowers especially roses and calla lilies.

Mrs. Kegley is survived by her husband, Kenneth Earl Kegley, whom she wed on May 20, 1946. 3 sons: Dennis Earl and Mary L. Kegley of Mansfield, Jack Allen and Alma Kegley of Sehlby, and James Lenville and Lisa Kegley of Mansfield; a daughter: Sandra Kay and Jerry Lee Martin of Mansfield; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchilredn; She was preceded in death by a 2 sons, Gary Lee Kegley and Ronald Eugene Kegley, a daughter, Rosemary Kegley and a brother Lloyd Lenville Lewis.

Friends may call on Friday, May 27, 2005 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Monty Perry officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to Grace Valley Chapel.
