Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Obrochta

Mary Elizabeth Obrochta, of 2776 Taylortown Road, Shelby, died at 4:15 A.M. Sunday at Mansfield General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Armengale Township, Mifflin County, PA, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Jones) Brown. She married the Rev. F. Joseph Obrochta on November 26, 1962. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1988.

Mrs. Obrochta is survived by 2 sisters: Mrs. Robert (Elinor) Reimold of Transfer, PA, and Phyllis Jean Anderson of Daytona Beach, FL; 1 brother, James Clark Brown of Port Orchard, Washington.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Mrs. Obrochta was an ordained minister and a graduate of the C.L. Lane Bible Institute in Transfer, PA. She and her late husband the Rev. F. Joseph Obrochta, traveled extensively in Haiti, Jamaca, Germany, Africa, and South Dakota ministering the Gospel. She was a member of Taylortown Community Church where she was vice president of the Women For Missions.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30A.M. at the Taylortown Community Church with the Revs. Lee Hiney, Byron Wood, Samual Napodano, and L. Lane officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage, PA. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Turner Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylortown Community Church and left at the funeral home.
