Mary E. (Lybarger) Shepherd
Mary E. Shepherd, age 76, of 52 West Park Drive in Shelby, died early Tuesday morning at her home after an extended illness.
She was born June 1, 1917 in Shelby, the daughter of Cecil and Francis (Waghorn) Lybarger.
Mrs. Shepherd was a homemaker and was a former employee of the Autocall in Shelby and the Norwalk Truck Line.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Shepherd, whom she married on August 19, 1955; 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law: Cathy and James England of Galion, Rev. Sue Chandler and
Carol and Gerald Ferguson all of Shelby; 1 son and daughter-in-law: Fred “Jan” and Toni Fair of Norwalk; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother: James Lybarger of Shelby; 2 sisters: Madeline Shepherd and Barbara Gwirtz both of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Richard Allan Fair; a grandson, Patrick
Fair; grandaughter, Christina Hoskins; 2 brothers: Robert and Fred Lybarger; and a sister Betty Kulka.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at the Taylortown Community Church with the Rev. Dr. Edward N. Beck, officiating. Public Calling hours will not be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christie Lane School in Norwalk, the Taylortown Community Church, or to the American Diabetes Association and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
