Mary C. (Mills) Patterson
Mary C. Patterson, 75, of 172 E. Main St. Shelby, died Thursday afternoon in University Hospital in
Ann Arbor, Michigan after an extended illness.
She was born August 1, 1916 in Plymouth, the daughter of Maurice and Edith (Whatman) Mills. Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker and a member of the First Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence “Pat” Patterson, whom she married on June 24, 1939; a daughter and son- in-law: Susan and Thomas Spangler of Shelby; one son: Larry S. Patterson of Denver, Colorado; one grandaughter: Jennifer Spangler of Shelby; and one sister: Freda Mae Stickney of Marion.
She was preceded in death by a grandaughter, Mary Michele Spangler in 1979; and a brother, George Mills
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday in Oakland Cemetery conducted by her Pastor Rev. Dr. Carl L. Johnson. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church or the Shelby Public Health league in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
