Mary Ann (Arnold) Frye

Mary Ann Frye, age 92, formerly of Park Village, and most recently of the Heritage Care Center, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Med Central Shelby Hospital after a short illness.

She was born October 27, 1916 in Shelby the daughter of the late George Henry and Anna Barbara (Allerding) Arnold. Mary Ann retired in 1981 from the Shelby Autocall Company after 24 years of service. Prior to that, she worked at the AMF Company in Shelby. She was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church, Shelby American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella, AARP, Altar and Rosary Society, Shelby VFW # 291 Ladies Auxiliary, was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #763 Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered in the gift shop at Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Mary Ann is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence Brady Frye on December 18, 1965, 4 sisters, Sister Marianne (Virginia) Arnold, O.P., Freda Kromenacker, Frances Milliron, and Esther Heydinger, a brother, Thomas Arnold.

Friends may call on Friday, November 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where the rosary will be recited at 3:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 11: 00 AM with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Shelby.     I will miss being with Mary and working with her in Activities at Heritage Care Center. She joined us in many of the things we did. She enjoyed many of the music events, BINGO, crafts, making bookmarks, etc. My thoughts are with you and that you
    cherish many fond memories.
