Mary A. Huston Cottengaim
Mary A. Huston Cottengaim, age 95, formerly of 2803 State Route 314, Shelby, died Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness.
She was born May 20, 1908 in Nevada, Ohio the daughter of the late Algee and Ada (Meade) Welsh. Mrs. Cottengaim was a homemaker and a retired employee of Hartman Electric in Mansfield. She also helped her husbands on their farms. She was a member of Shenandoah Christian Church, Greenwich Order of Eastern Star, and a past member of Shenandoah Grange.
She is survived by a son and his companion, James C. Huston and Barbara Rowe of Shiloh; 4 grandchildren, Mary Beth Barber of Shiloh, Jo Ann Mabry of Shiloh, Judie Kinsey of Nevada and Charles Huston of Plymouth; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James D. Huston, her second husband, Merle McCormack, her third husband, Willis Cottengaim, a granddaughter, Gail Marie Huston, a great granddaughter, Dixie Lynn Huston.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 16, 2003 from 7-9 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2003 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Diana Seaman, Pastor of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Shiloh officiating. Burial will be in Shenandoah Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to Shenandoah Christian Church.
