Martha L. Wetz

Services for Martha L. Wetz will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Carl L. Johnson. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Calling hours are today after 2 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be
made to the First Lutheran Church and left at the funeral home.

Miss Wetz, 79, of 106 E. Main St. died Tuesday morning at Shelby Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1908, in Jackson Township. Miss Wetz was a graduate of the Mansfield Business College, a retired employee of Shelby Mutual Insurance Co., a charter member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Shelby, and a member of the Insurance Women of Mansfield.

She was an active member of the Shelby chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons, holding various offices, and a member of the First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by four nephews: Robert, Donald, Dwight, and Charles Wetz, all of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and one nephew.
