Marlin W. Myers

Marlin W. Myers, age 78, of 4729 Laser Road, Shelby, died early Friday morning, October 20, 1995 in the Cleveland Clinic after an extended illness. He was born December 25, 1919 in Shelby, the son of the late Glenn Jay and Golda B. (Artz) Myers.

Mr. Myers was a farmer all of his life . He had also worked at the Railway Express in Shelby and had sold cars at area car dealerships. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Steam Thrashers Association, Richland County Farm Bureau and A.A.R.P.

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Gladys P. (McGinnis) Myers whom he married on November 11, 1939; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jacque Hoover of Shelby; 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Dean and Gail Myers of Shelby and Larry Myers of Shelby; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Vera and Glenn Haverfield of Shelby.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with his pastor Rev. D. Evan Houck, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church or to the Shelby Public Health League and left in care of the funeral home.
