Marilyn Joanne Stentz, age 70, of 155 East Main Street, Shelby, died Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Mansfield Memorial Homes after a short illness.

She was born July 29, 1932 in Shelby, the daughter of the late Edward and Della May (Coffey) Leonhardt. She was a 1950 graduate of Shelby High School and was a homemaker. She was a retired employee of Shelby Mutual Insurance Co. and attended the Shelby Alliance Church. Marilyn enjoyed reading and playing the organ.

Marilyn is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Charles Risner of Mansfield, Linda and Clayton Hallmark of Topeka, KS; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Martha Stentz of Shelby, Jon and Linda Stentz of Shelby and James and Kathi Stentz of Cincinnati; a son-in-law and his wife, Dick and Karen Mott of Shelby; 13 Grandchildren; 4 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Stentz in 1996, a daughter, Beth Ann Mott in 1990, 2 brothers, Harold and Paul Leonhardt, and 2 sisters, Dorine Graves and Doris Leonhardt.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Denis J. Wittenberger, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Mansfield officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to Shelby Home and Public Health.
