Margy Irene (Benedict) Elliott

Margy Irene Elliott, age 69, of 100 Second Street, Shelby, died unexpectedly early Monday morning at her home.

She was born February 24, 1926 in Shiloh, the daughter of Merton A. and Irene N. (Noble) Benedict.

Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and was a former employee of the Wilkens Air Force Depot in Shelby.

She is survived by 1 son, John “Sam” Elliott, of Plymouth; 1 grandson, Joseph Elliott of Sunrise, Florida and 2 granddaughters, Lindsey Elliott and Ashley Elliott both of Hollywood, Florida; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Vance Hoffman of Plymouth; nieces and nephews; a special friend, Thomas Stock of Shelby.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, John C. Elliott in 1983.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. June Fryman, associate pastor at First Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh.
