Margaret Ruth (Wolford) Pugh
Margaret Ruth Pugh, 94, of London West Road, Shelby, died Monday evening at her home after an extended illness.
She was born June 17,1892, in Butler Township, Richland County, the daughter of William and Margaret Ellen (Orewiler) Wolford. Mrs. Pugh was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby.
Surviving are one son, Roger E. Pugh of Shelby; three daughters: Mary Frances Pugh of Shelby, Janet Wagner of Millstadt, IL, and Mrs. Robert (Evangeline) Coleman of Boulder City, NV; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Pugh in 1953; one brother; and three sisters.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Herbert Garnes, pastor of Clay Memorial Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Franklin Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may call during the hour before services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby Public Health League or to the charity of the donor’s choice and left in care of the funeral home.
