Margaret J. (Hanrahan) Whisler

Margaret J. Whisler, age 84, of 28 Plum Avenue, Shelby, died Wednesday morning, August 9, 1995, in Mansfield General Hospital. She was born September 22, 1910 in Shelby, the daughter of Frank and Mary ( Schiffer) Hanrahan.

Mrs. Whisler was a homemaker. She was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Ann’s Society. She was an avid card player and a 1929 graduate of Shelby High School.

Mrs. Whisler is survived by 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Francis and Ruth Whisler of Mansfield, Jack and Joyce Whisler of New Washington, James and Dory Whisler of Shelby, and Richard and Brenda Whisler of Mansfield; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Francis Hanrahan of California; 2 sisters, Catherine Trout of Shelby and patricia Briley of Texas;

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Whisler in 1975; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Whisler ; 2 brothers, James Hanrahan and John Hanrahan, and 1 sister, Mary Herndon.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where a Christian wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 A.M at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with her pastor , Father John C. Missler, officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
