Mabel Mae (Snyder) Hepner

Mabel Mae Hepner, age 92, of 92 Park Village, Shelby, died Saturday morning, November 17, 2001 at Med Central Mansfield Hospital after a short illness.

She was born May 22, 1909 in Plymouth, Ohio the daughter of Albert M. and Artie E. (Ehret) Snyder. Mrs. Hepner was a 1927 graduate of Shelby High School and was a homemaker. She was a former employee of Wilkens Air Force Depot and retired from the Shelby Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and AARP.

Mrs. Hepner is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Cortland and Ginny Hepner and Russell J. and Stephany Hepner all of Shelby; 3 grandchildren: Julie Austen, Chad Hepner, and Kimberly Hepner; 2 great grandchildren: Ashley Austen and Kaylin Austen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Jacob Hepner in 1983; a grandson, Brad Hepner in 2000; a daughter-in-law, Pearl Hepner; and 3 sisters: LaVon Fox, Verda Tomasik, and Eleanor Harriman.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 20, 2001, from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, and also from 10 -11 AM on Wednesday. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
