M. Lois (Seif) Laubie
Lois Laubie, age 86, formerly of 81 Mansfield Avenue, Shelby, died Monday, August 14, 2000 at Mansfield Memorial Homes after an extended illness.
She was born November 22, 1913 in Lexington, OH, the daughter of the late I.D. and Mary (Walker) Seif. Mrs. Laubie was a 1931 graduate of Tiro High School and graduated from Marion Business College. She was a homemaker and retired from the Shelby Salesbook. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Shelby, the Eunice and Lois womens circle at church and Ohio Child Conservation League Mothers Club #2. Her hobbies included selling greeting cards, collecting santas, playing cards, traveling and flower gardening.
Mrs. Laubie is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Joe “Jeff’ and Becky Laubie of Brea, CA, and Jim and Janet Laubie of Dayton; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Margaret and Larry Jones of Hammonton, NJ, and Carol and Doug Williams of Shelby; 15 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Patricia Seif of Waverly, OH; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Richard Dittmar of Zanesville, OH; 3 sisters-in-law: Rosena Laubie, Virginia Swanger, and Imolee Laubie all of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Laubie on January 20, 1989 and by 2 infant sisters.
Calling hours will be on Monday, August 21, 2000 at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the 11:00 AM funeral
service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Craig Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Christian Church in Shelby.
