Lula Louis (Hollenbaugh) Stickney

L. Louise Stickney, age 70, of 88 West Park Drive, Shelby, died Tuesday, January 9, 2001 in the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness.

She was born May 13, 1930 in Shelby, the daughter of the late Wren and Ida Pearl (Knee) Hollenbaugh. Mrs. Stickney was a homemaker. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby and the Shelby Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

Mrs. Stickney is survived by her husband, Cecil J. “Pete” Stickney, whom she wed on August 3, 1950; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Trent Mohn of Shelby; 2 granddaughters: Krystal Mohn of Cleveland, and Jennifer Mohn of Shelby; a half-brother, Frank Hollenbaugh of Shelby; and a brother-in-law, Des Finnegan of Shelby.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Madonna Jean Stickney on February 20, 1997; and by a half brother, Leroy Hollenbaugh; 2 brothers: Duke Hollenbaugh and Eugene Hollenbaugh; and a sister, Eva Mae Finnegan.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM with Rev. James Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
