Luke H. Nolt
Luke H. Nolt, age 54, of Bowman Street Road, Plymouth, entered into rest early Saturday morning, August 16, 2008, in the emergency room of Med Central Shelby Hospital. His death was sudden and unexpected.
Mr. Nolt was born on June 12, 1954 in Lancaster County, PA, the son of the late Harvey and Maggie (Hoover) Nolt. Luke was well known farmer and cabinet maker, moving to the Plymouth/Shiloh area 30 years ago. He was a member of Springmill Old Order Mennonite Church.
Luke is survived by his wife, Nora (Brubaker) Nolt; 2 daughters, Ella and Adeline Nolt, both at home; 1 brother, Walter and Eva Nolt, of Ephrata, PA; 2 sisters, Alta and John Martin, of Shippensburg, PA, and Cora Nolt, of Ephrata, PA. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Martha Brubaker Ringler and her husband Samuel Ringler, of East Earl, PA. Luke was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, a son, Harvey Nolt, and his father-in-law Ben Brubaker.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, August 17, 2008, from 5-7 PM and also on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the family home, 7416 Bowman Street Road, Plymouth. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 9:30 AM at the Springmill Old Order Mennonite Church on Dininger Road. Bishop Ammon Burkholder will officiate. Burial will be in Springmill Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family has selected the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, to assist them with funeral arrangements.
