Lucie E. (Ward) Dye

Lucie E. Dye, age 89 formerly of 11 Lynn Road, Shelby, died Friday afternoon in the Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard.

She was born June 29, 1898 in Brandon, Ohio, the daughter of William L. and Annabelle G. (Graham) Ward.

Mrs. Dye is survived by 2 daughters: Barbara Jean Dye of Shelby, and Mrs. William (Susan) Fath of Wilbraham, MA; 2 granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Herman Dye in 1984, and by 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Dye along with her husband Charles, were the founders and former owners of the Dye Funeral Home in Shelby. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, an associate member of Circle #2 United Methodist Women, past president of Shelby Memorial Hospital Guild,
past president of Federation of Mothers Clubs, former board member of Richland County Red Cross, former board member of the Shelby Girl Scouts, a member of the 97 Club and the Shelby Garden Club.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, with her pastor, the Rev. Carl G. Beighley, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday fram 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home.
