Lorraine N. (Jeffers) Workman

Lorraine N. Workman, age 81, of 24 Woodland Road, Shelby, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 3, 1999 at Med Central Shelby Hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. Workman was born April 6, 1918 in Woodsfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles Christian and Lela (Pyles) Jeffers. She was a 1935 graduate of Woodsfield High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby, Rizpah Chapter #153 Order of Eastern Star, Shelby Country Club, and Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Virginia Jeffers of Shelby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber L. Workman in 1995; and a niece, Candace Jeffers in 1969.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey W. Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to Shelby Memorial Hospital Foundation and left in care of the funeral home.
