Lois Mildred (Wolf) Myers
Lois Mildred Myers, age 85, of 920 Sharon Valley Road, Newark, and formerly of rural Shelby, died Tuesday evening in Licking County Memorial Hospital in Newark after a short illness. She was born June 23, 1906 in Mansfield, the daughter of Charles and Otta (Wolford) Wolf.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and was a member of the Olga Fort Myers Shore United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Fort Myers Shores Improvement Association. Prior to moving to Florida, she had been a member of the Ganges United Church of Christ, Ganges Ladies Aid Society, and the Womens Guild at Church, and Ganges Garden Club. She had been active in various Richland County Extention groups and was a volunteer at the Richland County 4-H Camps and the Richland County Fairs. Mrs. Myers was an election board worker in Richland County and also in Florida. She and her husband Russell housed many teachers and students from various countries through the International Exchange Program. She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School.
Mrs. Myers is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Mary M. and Dr. Herman Kuehn of Flushing, Michigan, and Ruth E. and Paul William Lantz of Columbus, Ohio; 4 grandchildren: Pamela McLain of Sodus, NY; Linda Quinn of Springfield, MO; Kathryn Kuehn of Las Getos, CA; and Melissa Kuehn of Kalamazoo, MI; 3 great-grandchildren: Danielle, Douglas, and Joseph McLain.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Raymond Myers on April 2, 1991; and by a brother Russell Wolf.
Calling hours will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. untill the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph L. Mullenix, Visitation Pastor of the Neal Avenue United Methodist Church in Newark, officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Church Cemetery.
