Lois H. (Ross) Walker
Lois H. Walker, age 86, formerly of 47 Harriett Drive, Shelby, died Tuesday, November 9,1999 at the Griffeth Nursing Home in Ashland after a short illness.
She was born February 9, 1913 in Tiro, Ohio, the daughter of Royal H. and Myra (Snider) Ross.
Mrs. Walker was a former employee of the Shelby Business Forms and was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Rizpah Chapter 153 Order Of Easter Star where she had been past worthy matron. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Romona Bringman of Chilcoot, CA, George and Sonja Bringman of Ashland; 3 daughters and 3 sons-in-law: Bonnie and Robert Kehl of Lexington, Mary and Rev. J. Malcolm Brook of Attica, Laura and Phil Amsbaugh of Ashland; 3 step-sons and spouses: Walter and Jean Zumbach of Glenside, PA, Lou and Judy Zumbach of Minnesota, Gerald “Jr.” and Bonnie Potts of Shelby; 2 step daughters and spouses: Ruby and Bill Lynne of Bellefontaine, OH, Georgene and AI Gooding of Bradenton, FL; 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Dorothy Dome of Morristown, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Zumbach and George Walker; a brother, Orrin Ross; 2 sisters: Grace Grove and Mayme Grove; a grandson, Everett Dean Amsbaugh; and a granddaughter, Beverly Jane Brook.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby
where Eastern Star services will be conducted Thursday at 7:45 PM. Funeral service will be held
on Friday at 10:30 AM at the Turner Funeral Home with Rev. D. Evan Houck officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial expressions may be made to the ABC Center at First Lutheran Church or to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
