Lois Elaine (Ash) Ballard

Graveside services for Lois Elaine Ash Ballard, 34, of 105 Center St., will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby by Pastor Jim Bornert of the Shelby Baptist Chapel.

Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.

Mrs. Ballard died unexpectedly early Thursday morning at the emergency room at Mansfield General Hospital.

She was born March 28, 1957, in Mansfield and had been a former employee of the Shelby Plastics Co.

Surviving are her husband, Melvin Ballard, whom she married in April 1991; four sons: Roger, Christopher, and Adam Lykins, all of Plymouth, and Shane Ballard of Crestline; a daughter: Angela Lykins of Plymouth; her parents, Harrison Thomas and Joyce Ann Malone Ash of Shelby; a brother, Mark Anthony Ash of Shelby; four sisters: Ruby Laura Ash, Vivian Ash, Violet Ramey and Evelyn Cattey, all of Shelby; and three stepsons: Brian Ballard, Chad Ballard and Jason Ballard, all of Chesterville.
