Loella N. (Barnhart) Weddell
Loella M. Weddell, age 90, formerly of 54 Park Village, Shelby, died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Weddell was born February 21, 1914 in Richland County, Ohio the daughter of the late Merrill and Myrtle A. (Molder) Barnhart. She graduated in 1933 from Shelby High School. Loella was a waitress in the 1950’s in the restaurant at Strubles. She continued her waitressing career for 25 years at Ginter’s Restaurant on Broadway Street in Shelby. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby, AARP, Golden Agers, and Rizpah Chapter 153 Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter and spouse, Mona & Kenneth Pry of Shelby; a son, David Weddell of Coconut Beach, FL; 2 brothers and spouses, Tom & Verda Barnhart of Iron River, MI and Merrill Junior & Barbara Barnhart of Shelby; 3 sisters and spouse, Rhea Belle Hartman of Mansfield, Ardelle & Floyd Rietveld of Dayton, and Bonnie Ginter of Shelby, sisters-in-law, Laura Weddell of Wooster and Mildred Barnhart of Shelby; She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arden F. Weddell in 1969, 2 brothers, John Barnhart and Henry Barnhart and 3 brothers-in-law, L. Stanley Weddel, Russel Hartman and Junior Ginter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 1:30 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby with Rev. David Carter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the church.
