Lloyd E. Hench

Lloyd E. Hench, age 72, of 55 Smiley Gardens, Shelby died Saturday morning at the home of his son in Clyde, Ohio, after an extended illness. He was born March 16, 1922 in Richland County.

Mr. Hench was a former employee of the Shelby Cycle Company
and was an Army veteran of WWII.

He is survived by 1 son and his fiance, Allan Hench and Connie Selvey of Clyde; 3 daughters, Diana K. Hench and Cheryle L. Hench both of Shelby, and Darlene R. Roub of Mansfield; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Evelyn Geary of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and Virginia Sorenson of Grove City, Minnesota; 3 step sisters, Hazel Morris of Shelby, Effie Swineford of Nova and Cora Simon of Panarama City, California; 4 step brothers, Howard Mitchell of Lorain, Dean Mitchell of Perrysville, and Raymond Mitchell and Lester Mitchell both of Shelby.

Mr. Hench was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Hench and Stella Yohn Hench Mitchell and by 3 brothers, Clarence, Charles, and Harry Hench.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home where funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Edward N. Beck, pastor of Taylortown Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Biddle Cemetery, Crawford County, Ohio. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Shelby American Legion.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Sandusky County Hospice, and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street in Shelby.
