Lillian M. (Lane) Light
Lillian M. Light, age 94, of Mansfield, died peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at her home.
She was born October 3, 1916 in Newark, Ohio the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Dora B. (Talhelm) Lane. Lillian attended Mansfield High School and Mansfield Business College. She married William A. Light on August 18, 1941 and was a licensed real estate agent with Light Realty of Mansfield. She was a member of the Mansfield Liederkranz, AARP #718, and Central United Methodist Church in Mansfield. In the last few years she attended First Church of the Brethren on Grace Street.
She is survived by 2 granddaughters: Nicole R. Light of Norman, OK and Stacey K. Light of Olathe, KS; her daughter-in-law: Dawn D. Light of Overland Park, KS; Numerous nephews and nieces including Carol Bumpus of Mansfield who had been her caregiver for the last several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband: William A. Light in 1996; her son: Robert W. Light in 1994; 2 brothers: Frank and Henry Lane; a sister: Elma Harrison.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 1:30 PM with Rev. Les Vnasdale officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. On line condolences may be made to
