Letha Genevieve (Rooks) Wetz

Letha Genevieve Wetz, age 83, of 34 Grove Avenue in Shelby, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening in Mansfield General Hospital. She was born April 8, 1909 in Crestltne, Ohio, the daughter of Abraham Ezekial and Meribah (Miller) Rooks.

Mrs. Wetz was a former worker at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company and also cleaned homes for area families. She was a former member of the Child Conservation League Chapter #3 Mother’s Club and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby.

She is survived by her son, Charles C. Wetz of Shelby, and by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbsnd, F. Clayton Wetz in 1966, and by 2 brothers:
Kenneth and Robert Rooks.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby by her pastor the Rev. Lyle Hinkle. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the funeral home.
