Lester J. Heinz

Lester J. Heinz, age 92, of 112 Park Village, in Shelby, died Thursday evening in Shelby Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born may 17, 1901 in Geneva, Ohio the son of Henry and Barbara (Seiberth) Heinz.

Mr. Heinz retired from the Sears store in Painsville, Ohio and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Willowick, Ohio. While living in Shelby, Mr. Heinz attended the Missionary and Alliance Church in Shelby.

Mr. Heinz is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Dean Seaman of Shelby; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and June Heinz, Jr. of Tucson, Arizona and Milton and Jackie Heinz of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; 1 step-daughter, Jean Strawbridge of Shelby; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Emerson Heinz of Chardon, Ohio; 2 sisters, Evelyn Ozinga and Alice Hird both of Mentor.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Pearl Wilson Heinz in 1975, his 2nd wife Gladys Dean Heinz in 1986, and infant daughter, 2 brothers, LaVerne and Milton Heinz and by a sister Eleanor.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home , 168 West Main Street, in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Joe Campbell, pastor of the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the Whitehaven Memorial Park in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church in Shelby and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
