Leoma J. (Johnson) Stewart

Leoma J. Stewart, age 86, formerly of 91 Parkwood Drive, Shelby, died Saturday evening, January 12, 2002, at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby after an extended illness.

She was born September 13, 1915 in Clearfield, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Elbert and
Nancy (Brown) Johnson. Mrs. Stewart attended Morehead High School in Morehead, Kentucky and retired as a proof reader from GAF in Shelby after 20 + years of service. She attended Taylortown Community Church in Shelby. She was a loving mother and grandmother to everyone.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Mary Stewart of Shelby; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and William Oliver of Shelby; 7 grandchildren; 15 great
grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: William Lloyd Johnson of New Carlisle, OH and Harold B. Johnson of Mansfield, OH.

She married William Clarence Stewart on December 19, 1931, and he preceded her in death on
June 25, 1999. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Schlotterer; 5 sisters: Nola Marie Johnson Wyne Pieffer, Revah Mae Johnson Gilliam, Anna Laura Johnson Faran, Letha
Faye Johnson Predmore, and an infant sister in 1936; a brother, Lester E. Johnson; 5 half-brothers: Bernard Richard Johnson, Arthur Theasus Johnson, Wilburn Henry Johnson, Eldred Evan Johnson, and Leroy Johnson.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 15, 2002, from 3-5 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio. and one hour prior to the funeral services which will be held on Wednesday at 11 :00 AM at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Doug Tackett. Additional calling hours will be held on Friday, January 18, 2002 from 11AM-1 PM at Northcutt and Son Home For Funerals in Morehead, KY. Funeral services will be held at the Northcutt Funeral Home at 1 PM
Friday conducted by Rev. Ben Furman. Burial will be in Stewart Family Cemetery in Clearfield, KY.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
