Leo E. Price

Leo E. Price, age 65, of 14332 Nature Bridge Lane, Jacksonville, Florida, and formerly of Shelby, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning in the First Coast Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florlda.
He was born December 4, 1924 in Benham, Kentucky.
Mr. Price was a life insurance salesman and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby and the O’Brien Post #326 American Legion in Shelby. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Ellen (King) Price; 2 daughters: Mrs. Robert (Sally)Young of New Washington, and Sue Rabold of Mansfield; 1 son: Allen Price of Austin, Texas; his mother, Hazel Dell (Kennedy) Price of Shelby; 1 sister: Mrs. Dinty (Diane) Moore of Shelby; 2 grandchildren; 4 step-sons: Michael Abernathy, Bill Abernathy, Curtis Abernathy, and Paul Abernathy all of Jacksonville, Florida; 1 step-daughter: Sandra Aschenbrenner of Jacksonville; 13 step-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Leo E. Price in 1942; an infant son, Michael in 1947, an infant daughter Anne Victoria in 1951; his first wife, Inez (Frakes) Price in 1967; his second wife Elizabeth Price in 1987.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:30a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Carl G. Beighley, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery with military graveside by the Shelby American Legion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and left in care of the funeral home.
