Leo Burton Tucker

Leo Burton Tucker, age 89, of 4652 London West Road, Shelby, died Sunday, July 7, 1996 in the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby after a short illness. He was born July 11, 1906 in Mifflin Township, Richland County, Ohio the son of Norman Webster and Marilla (Gatton) Tucker.

Mr. Tucker was a graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelors degree in Agriculture. He was a farmer all of his life. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby.

He is survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Melvin Stein of Shelby; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marsha Tucker of Shelby; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren;

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace A. (Thomas) Tucker in 1994; 2 brothers, Cyrus Tucker and George Tucker ; and by 4 sisters, Lela Winbigler, Mary Young, Belva Harrison and Ethel Ann Ebersold.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby and also one hour prior to the funeral which will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with his pastor, Rev. D. Evan Houck, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
