LeRoy H. Linn
LeRoy H. Linn, age 73, formerly of Shelby and most recently of Galion, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Mill Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Galion.
He was born June 30, 1938 in Lorain, Ohio the son of the late Herbert L. and Marguerite N. (Uleski) Linn. He was a 1957 graduate of Clearview High School in Lorain and served in the United States Army Reserves from 1956-1964 Ohio 83rd Infantry Division, 908th Field Artillery Battalion. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelby and the Johnny Appleseed Wood Carvers in Mansfield. He was employed at Shelby Autocall until its closing in 1992, working there 24 years.
LeRoy is survived by his wife: Mary Frances (Cowell) Linn, whom he wed on April 16, 1976; his children: Terry Lee (Terry Joe) Lawson of Mansfield, Thomas R. Weimer of Galion, Nita, Cheryl, Lee Eric, and Jerry William; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother: Herbert N. (Carol) Linn of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Robert Warren Linn and a sister: Wanda Bohn.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 10-11 AM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM by Rev. Lester Champer. Really didn’t know him well, but I used to live right around the corner from him when He and your Mother lived on Simeon Ave. They always would walk by my house holding hands and the would always speak.
