Kevin W. Purcell

Kevin W. Purcell, age 60, of Shelby, died Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

He was born January 30, 1952 in Lowell, Massachusetts the son of the late Raymond F. and Frances (Neary) Purcell. He was a 1971 graduate of Lowell High School and was an employee of the Salvation Army in Saugus, MA where he was the maintenance man. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lowell. Kevin had a heart of gold and had a very loving personality. He got along with everyone and always put others before himself. Kevin enjoyed bowling and was an avid Patriots and Red Socks fan. He always started his day off with a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and scratch off lottery tickets.

Kevin is survived by his long-time companion and fiancé: Irene R. Jones of Shelby and her family – Tina Hatch, Destinee Bandagski, Michael Sancranti (Patricia Dobbins); 10 siblings: Raymond F. Purcell, Jr. of Worchester, MA, James M. Purcell of Arizona, Laurie A. Purcell of Dracut, MA, Richard L. Purcell of Texas, Paul E. Purcell of Ashland, NH, Eleanor J. Begen, Francis J. Purcell, David W. Purcell, Karen M. Saindon and Gail F. Purcell all of Lowell, MA.
Also surviving are many friends at Crestwood Care Center.

As per Kevin’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
