Keith McCurdy Niese, age 27, of Crestline, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
Keith was born April 3, 1982 in Shelby, the son of James and Shirley (Norris) Niese of Crestline, who survive. Also surviving are siblings: Mark and Karla Niese of Norwalk, OH, Lori and David Riedel of Centerville, VA, Dale Niese of Overland Park, KS, Paul Niese of Shelby, OH Lisa and Gary Langjahr of New Washington, OH, David and Lowren Niese of New Washington, OH, Craig and Jenny Niese of New Washington, OH; Nieces and nephews: Brent Riedel, Bryan Riedel, Megan Riedel, Jessica Niese, Aaron Niese, Kevin Niese, Ashley Langjahr, Brandon Langjahr, Trenton Langjahr, Alivia Niese, Logan Niese, Austen Niese, Bret Niese and Noah Watson. Keith was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Waldo and Cecelia Niese and his maternal grandparents, Murl and Wilma Norris.
Keith was a lifelong resident of Crawford County. He was a graduate of Fairway School and attended Waycraft Workshop. He was a member of Sacred Heart Of Jesus Catholic Church in Bethlehem.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 1-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where a Christian Wake Service will be conducted at 7:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Michael Geiger officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
