Junior E. Ginter
Junior E. Ginter, age 73, of 36A Flint Street, Shelby, died early Friday morning at his home.
He was born March 19, 1926 in Worthington, Kentucky the son of the late Virtner and Anna (Baldridge) Ginter. Mr. Ginter retired in 1976 from the Marion Depot and prior to that, he worked at Wilkens Air Force Depot in Shelby for many years. He was an Army veteran of WWII and enjoyed farming, fishing and woodworking.
Mr. Ginter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnie G. (Barnhart) Ginter, whom he wed on August 12, 1944; a son, Dale Ginter of Shelby; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Dora and Ronald Carey and Diane and James Wheeler all of Shelby; 4 grandchildren: Rebecca Carey, Angela Wheeler, Nicole Ginter and Chris and Tami (Wheeler) Wiggins; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law: Carl and Janet Ginter, Ralph and Julia Ginter, Kenneth and Loretta Ginter all of Shelby, Rev. Charles and Bonnie Ginter of Bellville; a sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy and Noah Stidam of Shelby.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 :00 A.M. conducted by his nephew, Rev. Tim Ginter. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with military honors at the graveside conducted by the Joint Veterans Council. Memorial expressions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
