Julius H. “Jukie” Hoehn
Julius H. (Jukie) Hoehn age 89, of St. Rt. 39 South Shelby, died Sunday afternoon at the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness. He was born September 12, 1897 in Ottoville, Ohio, the son of Oliver and Anna (Eberl) Hoehn. He had lived the majority of his life in the Shelby area.
He is survived by 1 brother: Alex Hoehn of Shelby; 2 sisters: Mrs. Walter (Otillia) Friebel of Shelby and Mrs. Al (Lucinda) Vogel of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Philip and Clem Hoehn.
Mr. Hoehn was a retired bricklayer from Friebel and Hartman, retiring in 1973 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Shelby Knights of Columbus Council #1968. He was also an avid golfer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 A.M. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Kokocinski officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery. Friends may call today at the Turner Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. There will be a Christian Wake Service at the Funeral Home tonight at 8:30 P. M. The K of C will recite the Rosary at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Memorial Fund and left at the funeral home.
