John F. Dudley
John F. Dudley, age 78, of 108 High Street, Tiro, died Thursday evening at his home after a short illness. He was born November 11, 1916 in Crawford County, Ohio the son of Emmett and Clara Luetta (Beach) Dudley.
Mr. Dudley retired in 1970 after a career in the United States Army. Prior to that he was a barber in Columbus and Wooster. He was a graduate of Tiro High School. He attended Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church in Tiro.
He is survived by his wife, Mae (Combs) Conley Dudley, whom he married on May 13, 1978; 3 step-sons and their spouses, Ken and Ruth Conley of Tiro, Don and Linda Conley of Tiro, and Dan and Marsha Conley of Tiro; 7 step grandchildren; 1 step great granddaughter; nieces and nephews; 3 sisters, Peg Wisler of Shelby, Mary Lou Kaffer of Drytown, California, and Jayne Mann of Royal Oak, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Don Dudley in 1989.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Janice Kuder, Pastor of Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tiro
Oakland Cemetery.
