John Cirata
John Cirata, age 72, of 46 Louise Drive, Shelby, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, December 14, 1995, in Mansfield General Hospital. He was born November 27, 1923 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania the son of Adam and Mary (Chapple) Cirata.
Mr. Cirata retired as an electrical engineer from Copperweld-Shelby Division. He received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church , Shelby Knights of Columbus Council #1968, and the Shelby Country Club. He was an avid golfer and an Army veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. (Kolakowski) Cirata, whom he married on June 5, 1948; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Bob Mahek of Shelby and Sharon and Mark Dorian of Fairview Park, Ohio; 5 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Ray and Pam Cirata of Lorain, Ohio, Ron and Monica Cirata of Shelby, Tom and Michele Cirata of Jamison, Pennsylvania, John Cirata of Huntington Beach, California, and David Cirata of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harry Cirata of California and Metro Cirata of Carnegie, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where a Christian wake service will be conducted at 8:30 P.M. on Sunday. Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with his pastor, Father John C. Missler, officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
