John Accardi

John Accardi, age 99, of 225 West Main Street, Shelby, died Sunday March 10, 1996 in Med Central – Shelby Hospital. He was born December 20, 1896 in Alcamo, Sicily, Italy the son of Anthony and Giovanna Accardi.

Mr. Accardi retired as an auto worker at the Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, Michigan.

He is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Janice Accardi of Mansfield; 1 daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Frank Torrence of Michigan; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be at the Sterling Heights Chapel of the Frank J. Calcaterra Funeral Home, Inc., 13650 East Fifteen Mile Road at Schoenherr, Sterling Heights, Michigan, on Wednesday, March 13, 1996 from 2-9 P.M. with a rosary recited in the funeral Home at 7 p.m. He will be instate Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Blase Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery , Detroit, Michigan.
