John A. Yetzer

A memorial mass for John A. Yetzer, 76, of 2764 Taylortown Road, Shelby, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Shelby, by the Rev. Bernard Kokocinski.
At his request, Mr. Yetzer’s body was donated to The Ohio State University School of Medicine in Columbus.

He was dead on arrival Tuesday at Shelby Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at home. Mr. Yetzer was born Feb. 9, 1910, in Shelby and was a 30-year employee of the Railway Express Agency, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic
Church.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi (Trout) Yetzer, whom he married April 26, 1938; two sons: Albert V. of Newark and William A. of Arlington Heights, IL; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers: Joseph and Clarence Yetzer, both of Shelby; and five sisters: Mrs. Howard (Irene) Clark of North Canton, Mrs. Frank (Martha) Stella of Detroit, Michigan, and Mrs. Paul (Beatrice) Dick, Mrs. Vincent (Mary) Metzger, and Helen Yetzer, all of Shelby.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Louis, Urban, and Howard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and left at the Turner Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
