Jerry Burchett

Jerry Burchett, age 42, of Mt. Vernon Developmental Center, Mt. Vernon, and formerly of Tiro, died on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at the center after a brief illness.

He was born Feburary 18, 1959 in Shelby, the son of the late William and Hallie (Roark) Burchett. Jerry was baptized at Crouse Lutheran Church in Tiro.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Porter of Shelby; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Douglas and Vicki Burchett of Marion; nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street
Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. by Rev. Steve Schag, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial expressions may be made to the Mt. Vernon Developmental Center.
