James Leroy “Roy” Kibler

James Leroy “Roy” Kibler, age 94, formerly of Shelby, died Tuesday evening in the Village Care Center in Galion after a short illness. He was born April 21, 1893 in New Washington, Ohio, the son of Fred and Mary (Keller) Kibler.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Joseph (Elaine) Dolan and Mrs. Opal Hershner both of Shelby, and Mrs John (Helen) Panovic of Allan Park, Michigan; 1 sister Mrs. Roger (Odeal) Dick of Shelby; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Mr. Kibler was a retired tender with the B. and O. Railroad.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl G. Beighley, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in New Washington, Ohio. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Village Care Center in Galion and left at the funeral home.
