James E. Moyer, Jr.

James E. Moyer Jr., 29, formerly of Martin Drive, Shelby, died Sunday morning in West Palm Beach Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL.

Born June 16, 1959, in Galion to James “Sonny” and Creta (Hardin) Moyer of Shelby, Mr. Moyer had lived in Shelby most of his life, moving to Riviera Beach, FL a few months ago.

A member of the Shelby AMVETS, he was employed by a shipping service in Florida and had worked with his father at Sonny’s Auto Wrecking in Shelby.

Mr. Moyer is survived by his parents; two sons: Charlie and Jimmy Moyer of Shelby; one daughter, Tammy Moyer of Shelby; three sisters: Sheila and Mindy Moyer and Kelly Mosley, all of Shelby; paternal grandparents, Wallace and Rose Moyer of Crestline; and his paternal great-grandmother, Mary Tridico of Crestline.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Turner Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. R.L. Easton, pastor of the Church of God of London West Road. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God, London West Road, and left at the funeral home.
