James C. Boylan

James C. Boylan, 77, of 12 West End Blvd., died early Sunday morning at his home after a long illness.

He was born July 18, 1913, in Elyria, the son of James and Gertrude Kreitzen Boylan, both now deceased. Mr. Boylan graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He retired in 1978 from Shelby Business Forms after 31 years of service. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Bladowski Boylan, whom he married Jan. 20, 1944; one daughter, Barbara Boylan of Pittsburgh; two brothers: Robert E. Boylan of Elyria and Richard D. Boylan of Amherst; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral Mass will be said Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church by the Rev. John C. Missler. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial contributions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church or the Shelby Public Health League in care of the Turner Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
